CARD4B recently acquired BEWARE, a company with software solutions for transport, tourism and culture. 

CARD4B recently acquired BEWARE, a company with software solutions for transport, tourism and culture. CARD4B explains that this fusion between the two companies is part of the expansion strategy that the company has been following, both nationally and internationally. With this acquisition, strengthens CARD4B's offer extending it from "ticketing and payments, to passenger information, planning and operation management, tracking and mobile applications for the sectors of transport, tourism and culture systems." The Portuguese company also notes that, in this way, can significantly increase its production capacity, also widening the scope of its portfolio of solutions to transport, mobility and tourism.

Rede Expressos innovates with an APP for public transport information, including booking and ticket sales.

myRNE is the first APP in Portugal that allows passengers of a bus service to buy their ticket using a smartphone and getting on board with an electronic ticket in the smartphone.

With a new design, the APP also allows the passengers to know the schedules of the service, access route information, points of sale and many other informations relevant to the passengers of Rede Expressos.

And CARD4B/BEWARE is already working with Rede Expressos on new improvements in the customer service through myRNE APP (Android, iOS).

Haute-cuisine and technology for a different sightseeing experience in Barcelona based on mysight solution for outdoor guides.

In the summer of 2012 CARD4B/BEWARE embraced the challenge launched by JULIA Travel to be part of an innovative concept in tourism.

Gourmet Bus Barcelona is the fusion of two different services, an haute-cuisine lunch or dinner and a panoramic sightseeing tour, allowing passengers to enjoy Barcelona's points of interest.

Gourmet Bus allows its passengers to enjoy the latest technological innovations in the tourism sector. Every customer is provided with an iPad containing Gourmet Bus appliccation with the following services/contents:

  • Comprehensive information (audios, photographies and texts) on the tour in 11 languages;
  • Map that includes the route and the tracking of the bus;
  • Videos for the children;
  • Video images from the bus cameras (front and rear cameras) connected directly to each ipad;
  • Menu of the dinner service;
  • Costumer and Staff survey;
  • Other informations about the service.

The Gourmet Bus provides a combination of comfort, technology and design. All of this makes it a unique project in the world winner of the best booth in FITUR 2013.

Universal Museum Guide

One of the most complete museum guides in the world allowing you to have a completly different experience in a museum.

The Universal Museum Guide (UMG) solution allows the autonomous configuration of a museum space, collection and exhibitions (permanent and temporary) with the purpose of generate a multimedia tour guide for mobile platforms (smartphones and tablets) with support for indoor location, image recognition and many other innovative functionalities.

It is intended that this solution works as a disclosure and greater attractiveness factor to visit the spaces, promoting and increasing the number of visitors and the attractiveness of museums, a more fluid visit and better communication of all information.

As part of a solution that is intended to be universal, CARD4B/BEWARE developed partnerships with museums and exhibition spaces with distinct characteristics. Currently the project has the following partners:

One of the first hop-on/hop-off city tour with a multimedia guide for smartphones.

In 2011 CARD4B/BEWARE worked with Cityrama in the development of one of the first APP's for hop-on/hop-off city tours.

The solution based on mysight platform supports multimedia contents based on the GPS of the smartphone. The solution also supports Augmented Reality and Integration with Facebook.

União de Transportes dos Carvalhos implements a global solution for operations planning and public information.

Based on CARD4B/BEWARE's 4PLANNING and MYINFO, UTC has a web based solution to manage their operations and to provide information to their clients on the Internet and very soon on a mobile APP for iOS and Android.

4PLANNING allows UTC to configure their network, services, schedules and also to manage the roaster of drivers and vehicles.

With MYINFO, UTC has a multi-channel solution (web and smartphones) to inform their clients about schedules, service information, maps and others.

All the solution is integrated, assuring that all data is consistent and a updated at all channels.
